Junna is a duo combining traditional Finnish music with electronic elements – it can be described as folk dance or Kalevala trance, for example. Junna wanted to find out how it would sound to the organic volume of folk music way up and beyond. The result is a surprising concoction of catchy trad melodies and banging beats, with a touch of synth wave aesthetics. Anna is Junna’s lead vocalist, violinist and traditionalist. Juha is the sitting president of synths, beats, and stomping in the duo.
