Qstock Expands with New Red Bull Summer Vibes Area
Qstock expands its festival venue this year behind the NMKY building in Raatti. With the expansion, the festival also introduces a new stage entitled Red Bull Summer Vibes.
The new stage offers a safe haven from the hustle and bustle of the festival – a place where to relax in a summery setting and enjoy the selection of a new bar area. But who knows, the DJ’s set might suddenly turn your lazy sunbathing into an EDM party! Because of the bar, the age limit to enter the new area is 18 years.
During the festival weekend, the Red Bull Summer Vibes Stage will introduce star DJs of local and even international fame. The musical genre selection consists of a variety of electronic subgenres.
The Friday opener for Red Bull Summer Vibes is DJ collective Barbitalo from Oulu. They have a unique and colourful way of combining a variety of sounds and styles while having a lot of fun. Also hailing from Oulu, DJ SMU offers a one-of-kind experience by mixing a rhythmical underground sound with classics. Virtual Humanity is a dynamic British-Finnish duo known for their energetic club and underground rave sets. Rony Rex is one of the most skilful and creative Finnish DJs – his music digs into the elements of club culture, house, and pretty much everything bubbly and vibrant while flirting with pop and indie at the same time.
Alhtough now an Oulu resident, 80percent originally comes all the way from Texas. On Saturday, he will perform a house mix that takes the listeners on a journey of soft basslines and catchy melodies. DJ Orion started his career from the warehouse parties of mid-1990s and has since become a sought-after act at electronic music events around the world. He will be arriving in Oulu directly from the renowned KitKat club in Berlin. Windows95man brings a fresh contemporary breeze, although he gets his inspiration from the Eurodance and techno hits of the 1990s. The original appearance and baffling music selection of Windows95man will give the party people sweet nineties flashbacks! The Red Bull Summer Vibes lounge will also feature a Ylex: DJ Orion Masterclass where the discussion will revolve around the creation of an electronic music career when coming from Finland, spreading your own music around the world, and the state and future of Finnish club events.
Also featured at the Red Bull Summer Vibes lounge is a 360 Photo Booth where you can eternalise your festival memories on your phone in multiple dimensions.
