Ellie Goulding Cancels her Appearance at Qstock – Haloo Helsinki! Booked to the Bill

English pop star Ellie Goulding has cancelled her appearance at Qstock in Oulu for health reasons. Goulding was supposed to headline the festival’s Saturday programme.

Goulding’s cancellation will cause some changes in the Qstock Saturday schedule. JVG will take the final slot on the Main Stage at 22:45, and the newly booked Haloo Helsinki! will start on the same stage at 20:20.

“This is a very regrettable piece of news on the festival week. It is truly an exceptional misfortune for us to have the Saturday headliner cancelled two years in a row. Unfortunately, and despite our efforts, booking a major international star at such short notice proved impossible. But, on the other hand, we were fortunate enough to arrange for Haloo Helsinki! to come to Oulu despite their tight schedule. We wish to extend our deepest apologies to everyone who was anxiously expecting to see Ellie Goulding at Qstock this year. Nevertheless, we have an excellent festival coming up,” says Festival Director Mikko Forstén.

Ellie Goulding’s personal message about the cancellation:

“Performing at festivals to fans and perhaps making new fans along the way is truly my happy place and has been ever since I played my first local one in 2008. I want to continue to perform live for a long time yet, but in order to come back fit and healthy, it is with great sadness that I have to postpone shows over the last week. As you all know, I am forever committed to you, and making sure my performances are as good as they can possibly be. But this time it is doctor’s orders that prevent me from fulfilling them. I adore you all so much and as always, thank you for your support and the heaps of love you all give me. I’m so sorry that I’ll miss you this time around. I can’t wait to be back xxx”

According to Qstock’s policy, customers who have purchased a Saturday ticket have the possibility to get a refund due to the cancellation. A Saturday ticket can be returned via the Ticketmaster return form until 23:59 on Friday, 28 July. The returned tickets will be released for sale on Ticketmaster ticketing channels at 10:00 on Saturday, 29 July.

If the ticket has already been exchanged for a wristband, the reimbursement is no longer possible.

The reimbursement always concerns the entire order and all the tickets in it. It does not apply to the Ticketmaster processing or delivery fees or the order fee. In all cases, the ticket price sum is returned to the original purchaser of the ticket.
