Changes to traffic arrangements

The construction of Qstock will bring changes to traffic arrangements in the vicinity of the festival area. The pedestrian and bicycle route from Koskitie to Raatinsaari, as well as the northern side of Raatintie between Lohipadonniemi and the traffic roundabout, will be closed starting Monday, July 21 at 11:00 AM. After that, only festival service vehicles will be allowed access to the event area.

Access to Pikisaari will remain open throughout the construction week and the festival itself, and no special driving permit is required. Entry to Pikisaari is via Tuira.

The parking areas at Raatinsilta marina and Lohipadonniemi will be rented for festival use starting Wednesday, July 23. Marina users may still load their vehicles near the harbor, but cars must be parked elsewhere.

During the festival, the speed limit on the Merikoski bridges will be reduced to 30 km/h.

The festival organizers kindly remind visitors to move safely around the area. Emergency vehicles must be given clear passage, and underpasses should be used instead of crossing the roadways. Please allow extra time for getting around, as congestion is expected. The nearest taxi stands are located in Oulu city center and Tuira.

Most traffic will return to normal by Monday, July 28 at 12:00 noon. Caution is still advised in the area after that, as heavy equipment will remain in use until Tuesday.

The traffic arrangements have been coordinated with the police and permit authorities to ensure the safety of the public at Northern Finland’s largest festival.

Qstock will take place in the Kuusisaari and Raatti area on July 25–26.
